Massages are a partnership between the client and the massage therapist. Our massage therapist can read your body language, but can’t read your mind. So if something hurts or is not enjoyable, please speak up! We are more than happy to find the right pressure for you.
It’s common to feel a degree of soreness the day after a deep tissue massage. It’s recommended to stay hydrated after a deep tissue massage to help flush lactic acid out of the tissue. The soreness will usually pass within a day or so depending on the patient.
No problem! I can remove your makeup prior to the facial, but please avoid wearing heavy makeup on the day of your appointment, as it might be difficult to remove.
I always caution clients to avoid booking facials close to a big event, as it is possible to have bad reactions to products used during appointments. While I only use products formulated for sensitive skin, every skin is different, and there is always a possibility that your skin may not react well to certain ingredients.
We will always recommend you to let your skin breathe for a while, but you can if you want to. Make sure your brushes, sponges and hands are clean, and try to stick to healthy breathable makeup and mineral-based makeup.
Please wait at least 24 hours before hitting the gym after a facial. Increased heat and sweat can overstimulate and cause irritation to freshly exfoliated skin, making you look a lot redder than usual.
The skin is a living organ. It takes roughly 30 days for the cells to move up from the dermis to the surface, where they flatten out, die and slough off. Giving it a boost every 30 days is what skin needs to look its best.
Yes! Please wear sunscreen to protect your skin after a facial. If you spend time in the sun without a good protection, the damage from the sun can lessen or even completely negate the positive effects of a facial treatment.
